In the mid 80′s my love for The Smiths was enormous! I never got a chance to see them because my mom decided the end of August 1987 was a fine time to take a family vacation, and my best friend went without me 
I still love The Smiths! I remember in the late 90′s a DJ by the name of Melinda Hsu started a show at KUCR. She explained to me her deep love for The Smiths and Moz. Her entire show was of The Smiths every week. I am Dedicating this week’s Vinyl Hours Radio show to her. I miss her so much! She passed away awhile ago. I will forever remember her brilliant sense of humor and love for Moz. This show is long overdue.

The year started off with a 2010 release by Bonobo called “Black Sands” It is beautiful, and peaceful, indie electronic.
The AoTW started off as a way to let you and I the listener join in together to listen to an Album. So much focus on singles. This weekly AoTW feature of Vinyl Hours Radio is a Tribute to the Bands, Musicians, and Artists who take the time to share their music with us.

I love saying good-bye to 2011 because by mid-March I had already given up on the year being worth a $*&!
I do have to say that MUSIC in 2011 kicked ass! I was especially happy this year because I finally got to see CRYSTAL CASTLES live in the I.E. That was funnn!
